Cosmelan® is an antipigmentation treatment system designed for resistant skin pigmentation problems like melasma. Melasma is a condition characterized by the development of patchy brown areas on the face, often associated with hormonal factors such as pregnancy or oral contraceptives acting in concert with UV light from sun exposure and a genetic predisposition to forming excess pigmentation.


Developed and formulated by mesoestetic® from Spain, Cosmelan® is  a two phase system with the first phase being application of a  mask in our office and then a subsequent maintenance homecare program designed to assist with the recovery from peeling, sun protection, and  enhancement of the antipigmentation effect by inhibiting the production of pigment (melanin) in the skin melanocyte cells.

Cosmelan® is safe for all skin types and can produce dramatic improvement of resistant pigmentation, with first results appearing as early as one week after mask application. The treatment has an excellent safety profile and is hydroquinone free.
