We have recently acquired the latest in laser and intense pulsed light (IPL) technology at Claro™: the eLaser™ and eLight. Manufactured by Syneron™, these devices use a unique, proprietary combination of light energy in laser or IPL form, coupled with bipolar radio frequency (RF) energy to deliver enhanced results with greater safety and comfort. While I was an early adopter of laser technology in my practice, I was initially disenchanted with some of the results of non-ablative lasers in the 1990’s. I waited until there was a product on the market that I could confidently offer my patients. Syneron™ fits the bill.

With ReFirme™ ( the tightening effects are delivered comfortably at a deeper level than competing technology. An advanced, built-in chilled hand-piece and external chiller device, along with topical anesthesia, make all the treatments comfortable. No other laser manufacturer in the world has this combination elos™ technology.

Treatments for various conditions are typically packaged in groups of 5 for best results. Laser hair removal treatments are typically done at 6-8 week intervals on the body and 4 week intervals on the face. FotoFacial RF™ and ReFirme™ treatments are spaced 3 weeks apart. For comprehensive facial rejuvenation, combination packages with FotoFacial RF™ and ReFirme™ are done together.  Used in conjunction with one of our medical grade skin care programs and combined with wrinkle treatments with BOTOX® Cosmetic and fillers like Restylane® , a non-invasive age-defying program with powerful results is created.

In order to obtain the best results, it is important to avoid tanning before and after treatments. There is no complicated aftercare required and no downtime with these treatments; however certain recommendations for best results are made with each type of treatment.
