Liposuction is a surgical procedure designed to enhance the contours of the body which have developed excessive fullness by removing fat deposits. This is accomplished through multiple small incisions with the use of specially designed cannulas (tubes) which disrupt and remove the tissue fragments. This may include fat removal from the face, neck, back, abdomen, hips, buttocks, and legs. It is now the most frequently performed cosmetic surgery procedure in the United States. Over 450,000 liposuction procedures were performed in 2004 according to the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery. Remember when choosing a surgeon to make sure that he or she is board certified / eligible (American Board of Plastic Surgery) and not the graduate of a limited course on the procedure whose primary practice is in another specialty.

Newer techniques incorporating ultrasound and tumescent anesthesia have increased the safety and effectiveness of this procedure.

Fees listed here cover: Dr. Angelchik, surgical facility, anesthesiologist, special supplies such as pain pumps (abdominoplasty) or implants (for breast augmentation), and after care garments. All procedures are performed at fully accredited hospital or ambulatory surgery facilities. The facility fees quoted here are for the least expensive facility with necessary surgical instrumentation and/or aftercare capabilities (for overnight stays). Fees vary from facility to facility and not all facilities are included here. Many procedures which Dr. Angelchik performs are not listed in this limited schedule.

Fees are subject to change without notice. Written surgeon's fee schedules provided in the office at the time of consultation are good for a period of 6 months. We have no control over facility or anesthesia fees, and changes in these costs may occur periodically.

Fees listed here DO NOT INCLUDE: post operative medications, dressing supplies, and any other costs which may arise incidental to surgery, such as revisionary surgery should this be warranted; however as a general rule Dr. Angelchik does not charge a surgeon's fee for any revisions done in the first twelve months after surgery. Other costs may apply. Specific office policy regarding costs of revisionary surgery will be provided at the time of your office consultation.
