Teardrop Breast Implants
Also known as the “anatomical shape,” teardrop breast implants are, as you might expect, designed to more accurately reflect the shape and overall appearance of natural breasts. They’re larger at the bottom and taper off toward the top.
Though the teardrop implant is more natural looking, it also has a greater risk of rotating over time, thus providing a more unnatural appearance. Further, because teardrop implants are denser than the alternative, the incision Dr. Angelchik makes during your breast augmentation will be larger.
Round Breast Implants
Your other option is a round breast implant, which is perfectly symmetrical all the way around. As a result, if they rotate your breasts will not have any uneven appearance. They also look more natural when you stand up.
