Will my Insurance cover my Nose Surgery?

Generally, health insurance does not cover any cosmetic surgeries, including nose surgery. If you are interested in nose surgery for cosmetic reasons, it is unlikely your health insurance plan will cover any portion of the cost.

In some cases, nose surgery patients are not only seeking to improve the appearance of their nose, but also to address a functional problem such as a deviated septum. Some health insurance plans provide coverage for plastic surgeries deemed medically necessary; however, there is no way to know if you have this coverage unless you check your policy.

If your nose surgery is needed partly for a functional problem, our office will contact your insurance company and make sure you are pre-authorized for coverage. Your health insurance plan may provide partial coverage for the portion of surgery correcting your breathing problem or other functional issue.

As is more often the case, health insurance plans do not cover nose surgery. At Dr. Paul Angelchik’s plastic surgery practice, we want you to be able to access the cosmetic services you want. We offer third-party financing plans to help you meet the cost of nose surgery.

If you live in Scottsdale and are interested in nose surgery, please contact Paul Angelchik, MD, to schedule a complimentary consultation.
