Buttock augmentation has become more popular in recent years due to changing trends and celebrities such as Kim Kardashian and Beyoncé. There are some aspects of your body that can be helped through diet and exercise, but your buttocks are difficult to tone through just lifestyle changes. Our board-certified plastic surgeon offers butt augmentation, a lower body lift and the Brazilian butt lift to give you the contoured buttocks you've been working toward.
If you're interested in butt augmentation, please contact Dr. Angelchik in Phoenix today at (602) 761-7887 to schedule your initial consultation. Our plastic surgery office serves patients in Phoenix, Glendale, Scottsdale and surrounding Arizona areas.
What is Butt Augmentation?
Dr. Angelchik uses fat grafting to help you reach your aesthetic goals for your buttocks. The Brazilian butt lift and butt lifts are slightly different, and some variations are more invasive than others. The right procedure for you depends on your desired results. If you have loose, sagging skin, you may need a butt lift. Whereas, if you're simply looking for a fuller look, then a Brazilian butt lift is most likely your best option. The only way to know which procedure is best for you is by scheduling a consultation with our plastic surgeon.
There are several forms of butt augmentation including:
- The Upper Butt Lift. This invasive procedure involves making an incision across the top of your buttocks. Excess fat tissue is then removed or repositioned and the skin pulled taut to give you a more appealing and perky bottom. This form of a butt lift could leave you with a larger scar than other variations.
- The "Butterfly" Buttock Lift. The butterfly technique is done by creating an incision that stretches up and outward along the upper portion of your buttocks. This butt lift doesn't actually lift your buttocks, but focuses on tightening loose skin tissue.
- The Brazilian Butt Lift. This is the least invasive and most popular butt lift. Dr. Angelchik will remove unwanted fat from areas such as your abdomen, flanks or thighs via specialized liposuction. After purifying or processing this fat, he will then inject it into your buttocks to produce a rounder appearance. The Brazilian butt lift doesn't remove or tighten loose skin, but rather adds volume. If you've lost a large amount of weight, you may need to undergo a lower body lift or traditional butt lift first.
Am I a Candidate?
Buttock augmentation is ideal for those who have lost weight and/or are looking for a more contoured bottom. You must be in good health and maintain a consistent weight. Rapid weight gain or weight loss can significantly hinder the results of your procedure. You should avoid smoking and excessive drinking for several weeks or months prior to your surgery and afterward.
