Buttock augmentation can come in many different forms, but aims to enhance and lift the buttocks, creating a perkier and tighter shape. Although implants were once the preference for buttock augmentation, they are no longer as popular due to alternative methods. Whatever your goals for buttock augmentation, Dr. Angelchik can plan the right procedure for you in the Scottsdale, Chandler, and Glendale, AZ area .
As with any plastic surgery procedure, patients should be in good health and able to undergo surgery. Moreover, you should be at a stable weight and living a healthy lifestyle that will prevent further weight gain that could compromise your results. If you opt for fat transfer techniques, you should have sufficient fatty deposits that can be used to collect fat.
There are three different ways that Dr. Angelchik performs buttock augmentation, and he can recommend the best options for you during a consultation. These include:
Upper Butt Lift
This invasive procedure involves making an incision across the top of your buttocks. Excess fat tissue is then removed or repositioned, and the skin is pulled taut to give you a more appealing and perky butt. This form of a butt lift could leave you with a larger scar than other variations.
“Butterfly” Buttock Lift
The butterfly technique is performed by creating an incision that stretches up and outward along the upper portion of your buttocks. This butt lift doesn’t lift the buttocks in the traditional sense, but rather focuses on tightening loose skin tissue.
Brazilian Butt Lift
This is the least invasive and most popular butt lift. During this procedure, Dr. Angelchik removes unwanted fat from areas such as your abdomen, flanks, or thighs using specialized liposuction. After purifying and processing this fat, he then injects it into the buttocks to produce a rounder appearance. The Brazilian butt lift doesn’t remove or tighten loose skin, but rather adds volume. If you’ve lost a large amount of weight, you may need to undergo a lower body lift or traditional butt lift first.
The course of your procedure will depend highly on your chosen techniques for achieving an improved buttock profile. During your consultation, Dr. Angelchik will ensure that you understand the course of your surgical session and any options or considerations that go with it. In most cases, your buttock augmentation will be performed under general anesthesia, but this depends on how invasive your chosen procedure is. You’ll likely return home after your procedure, although Dr. Angelchik may decide an overnight stay at your surgical facility would be best.

The length of your recovery will depend on how extensive your procedure is, but many patients require a week off of work or school for the initial downtime period. The most important factor of your recovery is avoiding sitting directly on your buttocks, as this can affect your results. Dr. Angelchik can instruct you on how to do this properly in order to avoid complications. You should also avoid heavy activity until Dr. Angelchik indicates otherwise. You may be asked to wear a compression garment in order to aid blood flow and help the skin adhere to the new contours. You can expect some pain and discomfort, but these can be managed with prescribed medications.
